Buns with apricots

We like Ukrainian croissants since childhood!
A filling of nuts, poppy seeds and dried fruits, sour milk cheese, your favorite jam or fresh fruits and berries – choose according to your own taste. Together with “Dobryk” they rolled up rolls with fragrant juicy apricots.

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Wash the apricots and remove the pits. Transfer to a separate bowl, sprinkle with a little sugar and starch (*starch will absorb excess moisture and prevent the filling from flowing out of the buns).
  2. Prepare the dough: sift the flour. In a separate vessel, mix one glass of flour with dry yeast. Add pieces of butter (*room temperature). Rub with your hands until crumbs form. Add regular and vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt to the dough. We mix.
  3. Add milk to the dough, mix thoroughly.
  4. Next, add the rest of the flour (*as much as the dough will take), about 2-3 cups.
  5. Divide the dough into 3-4 parts, form balls from it and leave it on a board dusted with flour. The dough can be left overnight in the refrigerator or for 2-3 hours in a cool place.
  6. Roll out each ball of dough into an even circle. Divide into 8 parts. We put the filling in the center of each piece of dough. Wrap the buns from the wide edge to the center.
  7. Cover the baking tray with baking paper. Brush the rolls with a beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  8. Put the buns in an oven heated to 200 °C for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle the finished buns with organic sugar powder “Dobryk”.

Bon appetit!
