Christmas cake with poppy seeds and raisins

Christmas is associated with the aroma of buttery homemade cakes. Festive, chubby and incredibly tasty Christmas cake – traditional pastries for the Christmas table! Bake the sweet bread in the shape of a scythe, add plenty of raisins and generously sprinkle with poppy seeds.

We make pastries only with organic ingredients of TM “Dobryk”–>

Ingredients:

Dough

  1. Organic sugar “Dobryk” – 75 g
  2. Dry yeast “Dobryk” – 10 g
  3. Sugar with vanilla flavor “Dobryk” – 0.5 tsp.
  4. Milk – 150 ml
  5. Flour – 500 g
  6. Eggs – 2 pcs. (+1 yolk)
  7. Butter – 90 g
  8. Oil – 1 tbsp.
  9. A pinch of salt

Filling

  1. Raisins “Deco” – 100 g
  2. Poppy “Deco” – 50 g

The diameter of the form is 24 cm.

Preparation:

  1. In warm milk add organic sugar and dry yeast “Dobryk”, stir and add some flour, mix, cover with cling film and put in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Separately mix eggs, organic sugar, salt, vanilla sugar and soft butter. If necessary, warm up. Pour the muffins into the mash and mix. Add flour, oil at the end and knead for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Grease a bowl with oil, transfer the dough to it, cover with cling film and for 40 minutes put in a warm place. Hug and put back in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. Next, take 150 g of dough per cone, the rest of the dough is divided into two parts. Roll out the dough and leave for 10 minutes under the film.
  5. The next step is to roll out long strips and put light raisins in one, dark ones in the other, wrap the flagella. Let stand 10 minutes and roll again, braid, inside the cone, cover and let stand for about 30 minutes.
  6. Grease the top with mixed egg yolk and water, sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  7. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
