Add salt and sugar to slightly warm milk, mix. Dissolve the yeast in the milk. Add 500 g of flour and mix thoroughly with a whisk until smooth.
The dough that is formed should be thick as sour cream. Leave it in a warm place for 30 minutes so that the yeast begins to ferment and bubbles form on the dough.
Add melted butter, oil, vanilla, eggs, another 500 g of flour and knead the dough. Knead for 10-15 minutes so that the dough becomes one lump and does not stick to your hands. We leave it to rise for another 1 – 1.5 hours.
Next, roll out a layer of dough, about 1 cm thick. Cut donuts with a diameter of 10-12 cm and the middle of 2-3 cm. Leave for another 20-30 minutes for the donuts to grow. Fry them in oil on both sides. The oil should not be too hot, cook donuts over medium heat.
Take them out on a paper towel or napkin to remove excess fat.
