Easter cake with candied fruits, raisins and pieces of dried fruits

The traditional recipe for homemade Easter cakes is our Easter cake with candied fruits, raisins and pieces of dried fruit. We bake Easter cakes at home with organic ingredients from the  company “Dobryk”.

Ingredients needed to prepare Easter delicacies —>

Ingredients:

Sponge

  1. Organic sugar “Dobryk” – 2 tbsp.
  2. Dry yeast “Dobryk” – 30 g
  3. Milk – 240 ml
  4. Flour – 2 tbsp.

Dough

  1. Organic sugar “Dobryk” – 160 g
  2. Sugar with vanilla flavor “Dobryk” – 2 pcs.
  3. Butter – 200 g
  4. Eggs – 4 pcs. (+4 yolks)
  5. Salt – 1 tsp.
  6. Flour – 880 g
  7. Raisins – 120 g
  8. Candied fruits and dried fruits – 300 g
  9. Rum (dark) – 30 ml

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the mash: to warm milk (not more than 40 ° C) add dry yeast “Dobryk”, 2 tbsp. organic sugar “Dobryk” and part of the flour. Stir gently and leave to activate the yeast and increase the volume in the yeast.
  2. Pour raisins and candied fruit with hot water, leave for 2 minutes, then rinse well with water. Wet with a paper towel and pour rum. Leave for a few hours (until the formation of pasochok).
  3. Prepare the dough: mix room temperature butter with organic sugar “Dobryk”, salt and vanilla sugar “Dobryk”. Whisk to splendor. Add eggs and yolks and mix again.
  4. Combine the butter-egg mixture with the mash. Gradually add flour, mix thoroughly for 10 minutes. Cover with cling film and leave for 1.5-2 hours. in a warm place. The dough should double in volume. Add dried candied fruits with raisins and other dried fruits to the finished dough and mix again. Form Easter cake.
  5. Fill baking tins by 1/3. Cover with cling film, let the dough rise in the forms, bake at 170 C for about 30-40 minutes. After 15 minutes cover the top with foil so that the crust does not burn. We decorate Easter cakes with  glaze “Dobryk” and sweet Easter decorations from Dobryk – gingerbread decoration.
